Monarch Business Solutions is a Maryland-based small-business services firm. We’re a sub-brand of Monarch Legacy and we serve clients in Maryland, Virginia, and DC.

What we believe

Most owner-run businesses are paying for four tools to do one job. The bookkeeper has QuickBooks. The CPA has a tax tool. The state filings live in someone’s inbox. The contracts are scattered across Google Drive folders. Nothing reconciles, nothing is searchable, and a year of back-and-forth gets lost every January.

We replaced that with one workspace. Your bookkeeping engine, your formation paperwork, and (when our credentials issue) your tax workpapers all share a single client record. AI categorizes and drafts; humans review and sign.

Where we’re focused

Maryland, Virginia, DC. State formations, registered-agent service, and annual-report tracking are all jurisdiction-specific work. We picked three we know.

Owner-operated and small. One- to ten-person businesses. The kind where the owner does everything and would rather do less of it.

How we’re different

We built our own bookkeeping engine instead of wrapping QuickBooks. You can always export your books in a clean format if you decide to leave; we don’t hold the data hostage.

We treat audit logging and access control as non-negotiable — two-factor authentication is mandatory for staff, and every read or write of your data is recorded in an append-only audit trail. The infrastructure is designed to satisfy IRS Pub. 5708 (the WISP), the GLBA Safeguards Rule, and IRC §7216.
